Research

Our research expertise includes quantitative and qualitative methods, data analysis, and study management. We also have a deep understanding of the current research funding and policy environment. Evaluation

​​Program evaluation applies scientific methods to determine a program's effectiveness and efficiency. It also helps an organization demonstrate its value, target its resources, and guide program improvement. We work closely with organizations to ensure our evaluations are focused, accurate and useful. 

Our process includes the following components:

  • engaging stakeholders

  • examining the program’s objectives and selecting key evaluation questions

  • identifying established sources of data and defining meaningful measures

  • designing a program-specific, tailored, multi-method evaluation plan

  • implementing an evaluation with quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis

  • writing evaluation report(s) with corresponding recommendations

  • ensuring the usefulness of evaluation outcomes and sharing lessons learned

Training

We provide on-site and virtual training  to help organizations implement best practices, increase staff skills and knowledge, and improve service delivery. A single training session is rarely sufficient to produce sustained improvements, and therefore we work with organizations to reinforce training effectively. Our trainings incorporate interactive, experiential learning, and often provide support post-training.

Trainings are customized to an organization's specific needs, interests, and budget. Topics include:
